Vincenzo Jannacci detto
Enzo (Milano, 3 giugno 1935) è un cantautore, cabarettista, attore, medico e cardiologo italiano, uno dei maggiori
protagonisti della scena musicale italiana del dopoguerra.
Caposcuola del cabaret italiano, nel corso della sua
cinquantennale carriera ha collaborato con svariate personalità della musica, dello spettacolo, del giornalismo,
della televisione e della comicità italiana, divenendo artista poliedrico e modello per le successive generazioni di
comici e di cantautori.
Autore di quasi trenta album, alcuni dei quali rappresentano importanti capitoli della
discografia italiana, e di varie colonne sonore, Enzo Jannacci, dopo un periodo di ombra nella seconda metà degli
anni novanta, è tornato a far parlare di sé ottenendo vari premi alla carriera e riconoscimenti per i suoi ultimi
lavori discografici.
È ricordato come uno dei pionieri del rock and roll italiano, insieme ad Adriano Celentano,
Luigi Tenco, Little Tony e Giorgio Gaber, con il quale formò un sodalizio durato più di quarant'anni.

Vincenzo Jannacci (b.
June 3, 1935 in Milan), more commonly known as Enzo Jannacci (Italian pronunciation: [vin't?entso] or ['entso
jan'natt?i]), is an Italian singer-songwriter, actor and stand-up comedian. He is regarded as one of the most important
artists in the post-war Italian music scene.
Jannacci is widely considered as a master of musical art and
cabaret,[citation needed] and in the course of his career has collaborated with many famous Italian musicians,
performing artists, journalists, television personalities and comedians. He has written around thirty albums and
soundtracks, some of which have since come to be seen as milestones in the history of Italian popular music. In the
second half of the 1990s he was considered to be finished as an artist, but in recent years he has managed to appeal to
a new audience and has won awards and recognition for his latest recorded works.
He is also regarded as one of the
founders of Italian rock and roll music, along with Adriano Celentano, Luigi Tenco and Giorgio Gaber, with whom he
collaborated for over forty years.
